14 Free Christmas Activities for Toddlers, Preschoolers, and Kindergarteners
Merry Christmas, friend! I just absolutely LOOOOOVE this time of year, when everything is merry and bright and joyful. It’s the PERFECT time of year. So, to celebrate and spread the joy, I collected a BUNCH of free Christmas-themed activities from my super sweet teacher-mama friends to share with you. 1. Christmas Alphabet and More
These Christmas-themed freebies are perfect for playing and learning all December long! The activities included are designed for toddlers and preschoolers to practice math, literacy, and life skills like matching, counting, and identifying letters. Give your littles a hands-on way to retell the most special Christmas story - the Nativity story! Kiddos will practice Math, Literacy and Fine Motor skills while learning about Jesus' birthday! Just click the link to hop on Kaitlyn’s email list and get access to her free resource library.
This festive freebie is a great way to practice reading CVC words. You can use this with or without a sensory bin. I added festive pom poms and felt balls to make it into a sensory center. Students choose a word card and read the word. Then they match it onto the correct picture.

5. Christmas Math & Literacy Games
Spin and Cover Christmas Edition is a set of seven easy to use printable games with a Christmas/holiday theme. Three of these games practice number identification for numbers 1-10. There are also four games that practice letter identification, focusing mainly on capital letters.
6. Christmas Counting Boom Cards
This set of boom cards is Christmas themed and a great way for children to practice counting objects 11-20. Learners simply count how many peppermints in all and then select the corresponding teen number.

This free Santa writing paper download includes a variety of pages to choose from, including color, black/white, large writing lines, small writing lines, boxes for pictures, and more! It will be fun to go through this download with your little one and have them choose their favorite paper, then get to writing a letter to Santa! What a great holiday memory that you’ll cherish for years to come!
9. Christmas Fine Motor Skills
Fun Christmas-themed fine motor practice worksheets. Children will trace, dot the path, use tweezers to place manipulatives on the path, practice AB patterns, and form play dough!
Review 2D shapes with this Santa and reindeer shape matching activity! This can be used in a sensory bin or a center bin. Your kiddos will pull out a reindeer shape and match it to its Santa shape mat.
11. Snowglobe Writing Craftivity
Get kids thinking outside the box with this fun writing activity! This activity gives the opportunity for students to imagine what it might be like to live in a snow globe. Have students draw themselves in the snow globe or take a picture of them to cut and paste into the snow globe!
12. Christmas Letter Recognition Game
This freebie is a fun way to practice letter recognition with your preschooler. Roll the dice, identify the letter, and cover the matching letter on the Christmas themed printable!
13. Christmas Sensory Bin Activity
