8 Halloween Activities for Preschool and Kindergarten
Spiders and pumpkins and candy, oh MY! Haha! Halloween is right around the corner and I always love having a variety of activities to choose from to keep the learning fun and fresh during holiday times. So, I’ve pulled together 8 of my favorite Halloween activities for little learners to share with you. 🎃
These activities are ones that you can use all October long! There are ideas for no-prep worksheets, hand-on centers, and even some fun ways to incorporate books. :) Scroll down to check out some of my absolute favorite Halloween activities for preschool and kindergarten students.

If you need some fun ways ways to keep your toddler or preschooler busy and learning this Halloween, this busy book full of fun activities is just what you need! These engaging, printable activities for learning about Halloween fit perfectly into Target blank books and are great for toddlers, preschoolers, and other learners practicing identifying and learning about different parts and icons of Halloween.
There are 9 activities included for you to create two different kinds of books about Halloween…all black and white pages for one-time use or color copies for multiple uses. These hands-on activities for learning about things you see during Halloween fit perfectly into photo boxes and are great for young learners practicing identifying and learning about different things seen during this holiday.
There are 19 activity mats included in this busy box to practice 14 different skills. Simply print out, cut, and laminate each mat and the corresponding cards. Toss them into the photo box with manipulatives like pom poms, dry erase markers, play dough, mini-erasers, and whatever else you want to play and learn with these activities.

Activities that go along with books are literally always my FAVORITE. And you can pass on your love of learning this year with these super engaging preschool book activities! They’re the perfect blend of learning and fun for little ones to learn essential literacy and math skills using the book "Little Boo”.
There will be engaging, hands-on activities, interactive worksheets, and sensory bins included for your learners to practice skills like coloring, cutting, gluing, matching, identifying letters & numbers, retelling, sorting colors, and counting!

6. Halloween Centers & Sensory Bins
Center activities inside of sensory bins are a great way to get your kiddos learning and playing at the same time! I love pulling out a container of dry beans or pom-poms and adding in some buttons, mini erasers, or even just different-colored beans! My little guy loves to just dig his hands in there and play.
New, hands-on centers keep kids engaged and learning so effectively too! Any kind of activity that has your little ones using their hands, bodies, and brains all together to complete an activity is GREAT for little ones.
As kids get older, activities tend to get less “hands-on” and more paper/pencil related. And, while there’s nothing wrong with paper/pencil activities, it’s usually best for younger kids to learn through playing and using their bodies to practice and internalize new skills. SO, hands-on centers give us a fun way to play and learn WHILE using our bodies. We do a lot of sorting, matching, running back and forth from one spot to another, playing games, and singing songs to learn the early literacy and math skills that my kiddo needs to learn. These Halloween-themed centers are perfect for toddlers and preschoolers!
