Looking for a fun, hands-on way for your toddler or preschooler to practice identifying and naming colors this spring? This sensory bin is the perfect way for little ones to practice identifying and sorting flowers according to color.

This resource currently includes 6 different activities identifying colors using flowers. These activities are great for toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, and other little ones who are practicing their color skills. Activities for identifying pink, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple are included. Recording sheets are included for every activity (except the play dough cards).

The following activities are included in this resource:

1. Flowers in the Garden (Color Matching): Students choose a small card with a colored flower on it and match it to the same flower color and shape on a picture or color word mat.

2. Flower Color Words: Students choose two small cards with a color word and matching colored flower on then and match those cards to the same color word on a larger card.

3. Color Clip Cards: Students use clothespins or mini erasers to indicate the correct color word to describe the flowers on that card.

4. Color Words Write the Room: Students write the color words ON the laminated cards and/or write the color words on the recording sheet.

5. Tracing Cards: Learners will use a dry erase marker to trace lines on cards to practice fine motor skills. 

6. Flower Dough Mats: Students will choose a dough mat and matching colors of play dough to create the flower designs/pictures.
